Açaí (Euterpe oleracea)
A staple of the Brazilian diet for centuries, açaí recently merited superfood status when it was featured in numerous publications and television shows nationwide. Modern scientists must have only confirmed what native Brazilians already knew—that açaí was a truly unique superfruit. With total ORAC (antioxidant) activity 200%-750% higher than any fruit or vegetable ever tested, based on USDA data, açaí is a must-have for any juice blend or nutritional beverage.

Acerola (Malpighia glabra)
Acerola (aka “Barbados Cherry”) is a bright red fruit widely used to enrich the vitamin content of other fruit, where the ascorbic acid also acts as an antioxidant and natural preservative. Acerola is a solid contributor to any nutritional beverage or gel product.

Camu Camu (Myrciaria dubia)
Camu camu is a small, exotic fruit native to the Amazonian floodplains of Brazil and Peru. With 30-60 times more vitamin C than an orange, camu camu has the highest concentration of vitamin C of any other known fruit in the world. It also contains amino acids and is rich in flavonoids. In addition to its antioxidant properties, camu camu contains high levels of beta carotene, iron, niacin, phosphorus, riboflavin, and thiamin. With all these benefits, camu camu is a well-rounded addition to any nutritional beverage or gel product.

Cupuacu (Theobroma Grandiflorum)
This melon-size fruit is packed with antioxidant phytonutrients known as polyphenols. A member of the chocolate family, Cupuaçu can replace cocoa in many day-to-day foods, especially for children, such as chocolate milk. Known for its creamy tasting pulp, cupuacu is frequently used in desserts, juices and sweets. Cupuaçu seeds can be made into cupulate, which looks and tastes just like chocolate but is cheaper and more resistant to heat. The pulp is also used throughout Brazil and Peru to make fresh juice, ice cream, jam and tarts.

Amazon soursop
Soursop's flavor have been compared to that of strawberry and pineapple mixed with notes of sour citrus and a contrasting creamy underlying flavor reminiscent of coconut or banana. The fruit is somewhat difficult to eat, as the white interior pulp is studded with many large seeds, and pockets of soft flesh are bounded by fibrous membranes. It is therefore usually juiced rather than eaten directly. Nutritionally, the fruit is high in carbohydrates, particularly fructose. The fruit also contains significant amounts of vitamin C, vitamin B1, and vitamin B2. The fruit, seeds, and leaves have a number of herbal medicinal uses among indigenous peoples of regions where the plant is common.

Murici(Byrsonima sericea)
This small, yellow tropical fruit has a strong fruity, rancid cheese aroma. The Indians have used its juice in body paintings, in the treatment of respiratory diseases and as a laxative.

Cashew Fruit
An oval or pear-shaped accessory fruit that develops from the receptacle of the cashew flower. The cashew fruit is used for its juicy but acidic pulp, which can be eaten raw. The cashew fruit is a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and other essential nutrients. It has up to five times more vitamin C than oranges and contains a high amount of mineral salts. The bark and leaves of cashew are a rich source of tannins, which, in a 1985 rat study, demonstrated anti-inflammatory and astringent effects.

Pink Guava
This tropical fruit has a yellow to green skin and a white to pink pulp. Guavas are a very rich source of vitamin C and contain 10 times as much as citrus fruits. It is also a rich source of minerals and of vitamins A and C.

Passion Fruit
Passion fruit is round to oval in shape and yellow or dark purple at maturity. It has a juicy interior filled with numerous seeds. The fruit can be grown to eat or for its juice, which is often added to other fruit juices to enhance aroma. Fresh passion fruit is known to be high in vitamin A, potassium, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and dietary fiber. The yellow variety is used for juice processing, while the purple variety is sold in fresh fruit markets.
